Annual Employee Background Checks

You have successfully used ESS to conduct background checks on your job applicants. But did you know we can also provide you with annual checks on your existing employees? It’s a great way to ensure your workforce is staying “clean” and that there aren’t any “issues” you should be aware of.

If we already screened one of your employees when s/he was an applicant or new hire then you don’t even need a new signed release for that person. (The one exception is California which requires a new signature each time a background check is conducted.) To make things simple we’ll accept a spreadsheet with the names and pertinent identifiers of your employees. One document takes care of everything!

Any employees who were not previously screened will need to sign a release. Also, any California residents will need to sign a release and receive the 1786.16 notification. But we don’t need to see any releases. Just be sure those employees do, in fact, authorize the check by signing a legally compliant disclosure and authorization. We can provide you with a simplified version for this purpose.

The two most common annual checks companies request are criminal searches and driving records. We’re offering our Criminal History Search (which includes a single county or state search, Auxiliary National Criminal Index search, and OFAC global terrorist search) at a discounted price of $16 each. We’re offering our Motor Vehicle Report at $7 each.

Note: Remember that each state DMV charges a fee to access driving records and a few counties/states charge a fee to access criminal records.
