Criminal History Search involves on-site visits to the appropriate courthouses … PLUS … a search through our criminal index from across the country.  We call it the ESS Auxiliary National Criminal Index. (ESS ANCI, for short.)  It is a collection of databases containing over 120 MILLION criminal records in 38 states and 12 metropolitan areas – with more on the way.  This search is intended as a supplement and not a replacement for the standard criminal search.

The index lists the name of the offender, personal identifiers and the location of the record. For the actual criminal files we must gather the court house records.  At your request, we will obtain the complete records from a given jurisdiction at our low add-on criminal search rate.  This provides you with the additional information you need to make an informed hiring decision as well as comply with all federal and state laws.

ESS ANCI expands the scope of criminal searches exponentially!  The conventional approach of using the Social Security Number Trace and Identification / Credit Report to point out other parameters for courthouse criminal records searches is very sound.  Nevertheless, we often say that finding a criminal record is a bit of a “cat and mouse game.”  Well, the “cat” just got a lot bigger and a lot smarter.
