| Standard Employment Verifications Increase to Seven-Year Coverage | |

Every year one of our New Years resolutions at ESS is to think of more ways we can enhance the value of the service we provide to you. We know there are many screening companies you could choose and we sincerely appreciate the trust and confidence you show in us. We always want to make sure we’re on the “cutting edge” of the industry so that your faith in us is justified. Along those lines, we would like to start off the New Year by announcing an employment verification upgrade. Beginning with reports ordered after January 1, 2008, ESS will automatically conduct seven-year employment verifications instead of five years … at no additional charge. (Remember, some companies outsource their verifications to a third party that charges a fee to access records.) The expanded scope of the standard employment history will provide you with a more comprehensive picture of an applicant’s experience and qualifications; so you can make an even better hiring decision. Although your ESS Order Form may currently indicate five-year verification as part of a report package, ESS will begin the seven-year coverage immediately. The report package price will remain the same. (For those of you who already have custom report packages with seven or ten year employment verifications you will automatically receive a slight price reduction on those packages.) Advances in electronic data storage systems have allowed employers to maintain and access employment data longer than ever before. Obtaining older information is not quite as difficult or time consuming as it once was. We feel we’ll be able to provide you with more employment history without significantly impacting your report turn-around time. It should be a real “win-win” situation.
