New Criminal History Search Report Format

We've enhanced our Criminal History Search reporting format. It will now include a "Statewide Criminal Search Availability Advisor". If a county criminal search has been ordered but a statewide search is available we will add a notation to your criminal report. It will include the expected turn-around time and cost for adding the statewide check should you wish to expand your search. Often times we don't use the statewide search as the primary search because many states tend to have incomplete information. A county search is always the most complete and up-to-date information. However, the statewide search can increase your coverage and is a good supplement to the county search.

Another feature we've added to the criminal report is a review of the employment application to see how the applicant answered any questions regarding criminal convictions. We will compare his/her notations or comments with our results and note them for you. This will save you the time of hunting down the application to check the applicant's response. The only time we won't include a note about the comparison is if we didn't receive an employment application from you or if your application doesn't ask a question similar to "have you ever been convicted of a crime?" The ESS Employment Application includes this question as well as other valuable pieces of information. You are welcome to download our application from our client web site.
